The story of Shalaka is a tale woven with threads of passion, innovation, and an unyielding spirit by Hemant Kamat and Shubhangi. It began in 2004 with Shalaka Technologies Pvt Ltd, a venture that marked our first foray into the entrepreneurial world. For over a decade, we embraced challenges and pioneered innovative projects, experiencing the highs and lows of the entrepreneurial journey - starting from a small office at home, to expanding to a team size of over 100, and then experiencing the the lows of an entrepreneurial journey. Despite the closure of Shalaka Technologies in 2015, our resolve remained unshaken. In 2017, from the embers of the past, Shalaka Connected Devices LLP was born, carrying forward the legacy of its predecessor. Rooted in family values and driven by a shared vision, we started anew in a modest office in Pune with just four engineers. Our focus was clear: to design and develop state-of-the-art IoT solutions. We laid the foundation of our growth by building prototypes, offering PCB design services, and nurturing talent through training sessions for engineers and corporates. The journey was not without its challenges. As we navigated through the tumultuous Covid era, our team's resilience shone through. We stood together, supporting each other, and emerged stronger, growing our family to 12 members by 2020. Now, in 2024, Shalaka has blossomed into a vibrant team of over 20 engineers, with a presence in three Indian cities and representatives in Germany. Our commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation has led us to collaborate with over 10 universities globally on research and development projects. Shalaka's journey is a testament to the power of perseverance, the strength of family, and the relentless pursuit of innovation.
